Coaching for food lovers who want to improve their health and wellbeing while enjoying guiltless, delicious nutrition

Food for Thought

Your health transformation journey starts with looking at food through a different lens. Whether it is comfort eating, lack of time or confusion over conflicting messages, you may be making poor food choices. In this section, I shall be providing simple information about the food that will nourish your body and mind.

Healthy, Happy Habits

What if I told you that breathing holds the key to finding equilibrium in your life? If you are sleeping poorly, tired, stressed, rushed off your feet, coping with work, home, children, relationships, and more, a 5-minute breathing practice every day could change your life. Here I delve into the art and practice of breathing, meditation and mindful living.

Joy in the Kitchen

You may feel that cooking is just another chore, time-consuming and stressful. I would like to help you spark joy in the kitchen, through removal of refined, toxic, processed foods, and the use of good tools, utensils and a few key machines, preparing nutritious, creative and inspiring meals can become part of your family or ‘me’ time!

Coaching for health, vitality and weight loss

I work with women and men who are struggling with their weight and fitness and have come to a point in their lives where they are ready for change. They want to develop healthier habits while still enjoying delicious food.

I understand that cooking, food preparation and resisting certain foods can stand in the way of achieving health and weight goals, but I believe that small changes and nutritional insights can help you evolve a different perspective that can lead you to the vitality, joy and the health you are seeking.

I honour my clients as the experts in their lives and align with what they want to achieve. I encourage client self-discovery, solutions and strategies on their wellness journeys, by listening with empathy, holding them accountable and sharing information when it is requested.

About

For most of my adult life, I have been on a quest to solve my persistent gut and allergy issues that lead to pain and bloating, and lose the stubborn weight that made its appearance when I was in my late 30s and kept creeping back even though I ate good food and partook in moderate exercise. I had tried various diets, some of which I managed to sustain for a while, but ultimately, I went back to eating my favourite foods that were not always the best choices for me until I decided to adhere to the principles of functional health.

I have curated a list of what have become for me my go to books. Like any list it is only a small sample of the health literature out there. I have included books on health, nutrition, environment and regenerative agriculture, habit creation, and a few cookery books that give you much more than recipes. Happy reading!
