Coaching for overcoming emotional eating
I work with people who have been struggling with emotional eating for much of their lives, who have dieted only to regain all the weight and who have reached the point of no return.
I know that the modern world has created a tempting cage for emotional eaters. The food industry, advertisers, the diet industry, friends and family, as well as our own physiology serve as the gate keepers.
You can liberate yourself from that cage and never return to it by forgetting about dieting, and focusing primarily on creating new neural pathways in your brain. Understanding what runs you is the first step on your new path.
I will not prescribe or criticize, as a coach I will align with what you want to achieve. I encourage your self-discovery, and I provide you with tools to get going. I am here to help you move from struggle to liberation by listening with empathy, holding you accountable and sharing information only in as much as it is useful to you.
About
For most of my adult life, I have been on a quest to solve my persistent gut and allergy issues that lead to pain and bloating, and lose the stubborn weight that made its appearance when I was in my late 30s and kept creeping back even though I ate good food and partook in moderate exercise. I had tried various diets, some of which I managed to sustain for a while, but ultimately, I went back to eating my favourite foods that were not always the best choices for me until I decided to adhere to the principles of functional health.

I have curated a list of what have become for me my go to books. Like any list it is only a small sample of the health literature out there. I have included books on health, nutrition, environment and regenerative agriculture, habit creation, and a few cookery books that give you much more than recipes. Happy reading!
